Each state drawing depicts the uniquely shaped boundary of an individual state through a group of overlapping circles rendered as “holes”. The circular pattern is based on the holes found in perforated sheet metal- one of several industrial metal patterns that I use in my work to explore boundaries and barriers both socially and politically.
Graphite on Hahnemuhle Ingres Antique White paper.
Approximately 16 x 12 inches
